When voting for the next person to lead our country we cannot vote for someone due to their affiliation with a party. We need to look beyond what party they represent and look into the type of person they have been and promise to continue to be. For example, a candidate needs to have charisma, quick decision making skills, and be able to handle executive decisions. These personality traits and characteristics are essential for candidates to have so that the people will feel comfortable during their term and so that the country wont experience a decline.
To begin with, a candidate must have charisma because the citizens of the country need to feel comfortable in their presence. To elaborate, the moment we lay our eyes on them we need to feel as if he holds a bright future for the country. Secondly, he/she must have quick decision making skills and be able to handle executive decisions. What I mean by this is that, if there ever would be a need to make an executive decision, they would not panic or make the mistake of taking too long to come to a decision. For example, during a crisis such as a war, a the president has to be able to make decisions quickly so that we can get ahead of the enemy or be the first ones to take action. Also, they have to able to simply handle the pressure of making the decision and not let themselves be pressured into making the wrong decision. All in all, when voting for a candidate, there is more to it than just the party they represent and what they advertise in their campaign.
