During my childhood I accumulated many toys, but I loved Hot Wheels and the Corn Popper. I got into Hot Wheels when I was around eight or nine when I began to get into cars. As for the Corn Popper, I go way back with it into my toddler years. Both toys are considered the best by myself because they are great for when you are bored and you can let your imagination go with them.
Hot wheels came into my life the day I passed them in the clearance isle in Walmart. I was able to convince my mother to buy me two of them. Afterwards play time was never the same. When I played with those toy cars I would imagine as if I was the driver going up and down the couch cushions going seventy miles an hour. Or even crashing and barely living to tell the tale. It was great fun, pretending to be in these imaginary races believing one day I will own a nice car to do so myself. Then this racing fantasy came to an end when I threw them all away and transitioned into video games and such.
When it come to the Corn Popper, my mother brought it home one day hoping that it would entertain me. And boy was she right. Everyday I would push that Corn Popper like there was no tomorrow. I remember that my favorite thing to do was pretend that I was mowing the lawn with my dad. Side by side me and him, no yard could stand a chance. Some great times I had with that simple toy. Hearing it pop nonstop until someone got annoyed and told me to stop. As for this toy, its journey ended when I broke it from throwing it down the staircase that led to our apartment at the time.
